12:15 The events of Rehoboam’s reign, from start to finish, are recorded ¹  in the Annals of Shemaiah the prophet and of Iddo the seer that include genealogical records.

2 Tawarikh 32:12

32:12 Hezekiah is the one who eliminated ²  the Lord’s ³  high places and altars and then told Judah and Jerusalem, “At one altar you must worship and offer sacrifices.”

¹ tn Heb “As for the events of Rehoboam, the former and the latter, are they not written?”

² tn Heb “Did not he, Hezekiah, eliminate…?” This rhetorical question presupposes a positive reply (“yes, he did”) and so has been translated here as a positive statement.

³ tn Heb “his”; the referent (the Lord) has been specified in the translation for clarity.
