9:8 The servant went on to answer Saul, “Look, I happen to have in my hand a quarter shekel ¹  of silver. I will give it to the man of God and he will tell us where we should go.” ² 

1 Samuel 13:15

13:15 Then Samuel set out and went up from Gilgal ³  to Gibeah in the territory of Benjamin. ⁴  Saul mustered the army that remained with him; there were about six hundred men.

1 Samuel 14:2

14:2 Now Saul was sitting under a pomegranate tree in Migron, on the outskirts of Gibeah. The army that was with him numbered about six hundred men.

1 Samuel 22:2

22:2 All those who were in trouble or owed someone money or were discontented ⁵  gathered around ⁶  him, and he became their leader. He had about four hundred men with him.

¹ sn A quarter shekel of silver would weigh about a tenth of an ounce (about 3 grams).
