Ini mengherankan sedikit mengingat bahwa kisah itu berpusatkan raja Israel, sedangkan si Muwarikh tidak memberi perhatian kepada kerajaan Israel, sehingga melewatkan saja kumpulan ceritera-ceritera mengenai nabi Elia, 1Ra 17-18, dan nabi Elisa, 2Ra 2-8, oleh karena tidak menyangkut kerajaan Yehuda. Si Muwarikh menyalin 1Ra 22:1-35 oleh karena raja Yosafat yang dikagumi si Muwarikh berperan dalam kisah itu dan juga oleh karena seorang nabi Tuhan yang sejati melawan nabi-nabi palsu yang berhamba kepada raja Ahab.
