33:50 TUHAN berfirman kepada Musa di dataran Moab di tepi sungai Yordan dekat Yerikho: 33:51 "Berbicaralah kepada orang Israel dan katakanlah kepada mereka: Apabila kamu menyeberangi sungai Yordan ke tanah Kanaan, 33:52 maka haruslah kamu menghalau semua penduduk negeri itu dari depanmu dan membinasakan segala batu berukir kepunyaan mereka; juga haruslah kamu membinasakan segala patung tuangan mereka dan memusnahkan segala bukit pengorbanan mereka.

Karena itu ada orang yang berpendapat bahwa gunung Sinai terletak di daerah itu, bdk Kel 19:2+. Bil 33:41-49 memakai sebuah daftar tempat-tempat persinggahan lain. Menurut daftar ini perjalanan Israel langsung dari Kadesy ke utara, ke anak sungai Arnon. Tetapi perjalanan semacam itu tidak mungkin disesuaikan dengan keterangan-keterangan yang ditemukan dalam sumber-sumber lain (perjalanan melalui Ezion-Eber, di luar wilayah bangsa Moab dan Edom), bdk Bil 14:25; 20:14,22; Ula 2:1-25.
