18:31 Segera sesudah para panglima pasukan kereta itu melihat Yosafat, mereka berkata: "Itu raja Israel!" Lalu mereka mengepung dia, untuk menyerang dia, tetapi Yosafat berteriak dan TUHAN menolongnya. Allah membujuk mereka pergi dari padanya.

Si Muwarikh hampir secara harafiah menyalin kisah 1Ra 22:1-35. Ini mengherankan sedikit mengingat bahwa kisah itu berpusatkan raja Israel, sedangkan si Muwarikh tidak memberi perhatian kepada kerajaan Israel, sehingga melewatkan saja kumpulan ceritera-ceritera mengenai nabi Elia, 1Ra 17-18, dan nabi Elisa, 2Ra 2-8, oleh karena tidak menyangkut kerajaan Yehuda. Si Muwarikh menyalin 1Ra 22:1-35 oleh karena raja Yosafat yang dikagumi si Muwarikh berperan dalam kisah itu dan juga oleh karena seorang nabi Tuhan yang sejati melawan nabi-nabi palsu yang berhamba kepada raja Ahab.
