Hanya satu ayat saja dalam kitab Raja (2Ra 14:7) sejalan dengan bagian ini. Si Muwarikh agaknya memakai sebuah sumber yang jauh lebih berisi pada 2Raja-raja. Balas dendam atas kota-kota Yehuda yang diadakan lasykar sewaan kerajaan Israel yang dilepaskan, menyebabkan perang Yehuda melawan kerajaan Israel, 2Ta 25:17 dst. Menurut 2Ra 14:8 dst perang itu hanya disebabkan oleh kesombongan raja Amazia setelah ia berhasil mengalahkan Edom. Dalam ceritera si Muwarikh kembali tampil seorang nabi, 2Ta 25:7,15.
