35:1 TUHAN berfirman kepada Musa di dataran Moab di tepi sungai Yordan di dekat Yerikho: 35:2 "Perintahkanlah kepada orang Israel, supaya dari milik pusaka kepunyaannya diberikan mereka kota-kota kepada orang Lewi untuk didiami; juga haruslah kamu memberikan kepada orang Lewi tanah-tanah penggembalaan yang di sekeliling kota-kota itu. 35:3 Kota-kota itu akan menjadi kepunyaan mereka untuk didiami dan tanah-tanah penggembalaannya untuk hewan yang mereka miliki dan untuk segala ternak mereka yang lain. 35:4 Tanah-tanah penggembalaan kota-kota yang harus kamu berikan kepada orang Lewi itu ialah dari tembok kota ke luar seribu hasta berkeliling. 35:5 Di luar kota itu haruslah kamu mengukur dua ribu hasta di sisi timur dan dua ribu hasta di sisi selatan dan dua ribu hasta di sisi barat dan dua ribu hasta di sisi utara, sehingga kota itu berada di tengah-tengah; itulah bagi mereka tanah-tanah penggembalaan kota-kota.
