19:12 Begitulah akan Kulakukan kepada tempat ini, demikianlah firman TUHAN, dan kepada penduduknya. Aku akan membuat kota ini seperti Tofet: 19:13 rumah-rumah Yerusalem dan rumah-rumah para raja Yehuda akan menjadi najis seperti tempat Tofet, yakni segala rumah yang di atas sotohnya orang membakar korban kepada segala tentara langit dan mempersembahkan korban curahan kepada allah lain." 19:14 Ketika Yeremia pulang dari Tofet, ke mana TUHAN telah mengutusnya untuk bernubuat, berdirilah ia di pelataran rumah TUHAN dan berkata kepada segenap orang banyak: 19:15 "Beginilah firman TUHAN semesta alam, Allah Israel: Sesungguhnya, Aku akan mendatangkan ke atas kota ini dan ke atas segala kota sekitarnya seluruh malapetaka yang telah Kukatakan akan menimpa mereka, sebab mereka berkeras kepala dan tidak mendengarkan perkataan-perkataan

20:1 Pasyhur bin Imer, imam yang pada waktu itu menjabat kepala di rumah TUHAN, mendengar Yeremia menubuatkan perkataan-perkataan itu. 20:2 Lalu Pasyhur memukul nabi Yeremia dan memasungkan dia di pintu gerbang Benyamin yang ada di atas rumah TUHAN. 20:3 Tetapi ketika Pasyhur keesokan harinya mengeluarkan Yeremia dari pasungan itu, berkatalah Yeremia kepadanya: "TUHAN akan menyebut namamu bukan Pasyhur, melainkan Kegentaran-dari-segala-jurusan. 20:4 Sebab beginilah firman TUHAN: Sesungguhnya, Aku akan membuat engkau menjadi kegentaran bagimu sendiri dan bagi semua sahabatmu; mereka akan rebah mati oleh pedang musuhnya di depan matamu sendiri. Dan seluruh Yehuda akan Kuserahkan ke dalam tangan raja Babel yang akan mengangkut mereka ke dalam pembuangan ke Babel dan memukul mati mereka dengan pedang. 20:5 Juga harta benda kota ini, segala hasil jerih payahnya, segala barangnya yang berharga dan segala barang perbendaharaan raja-raja Yehuda akan Kuserahkan ke dalam tangan musuhnya, yang akan menjarah, mengumpulkan dan membawa semuanya itu ke Babel. 20:6 Mengenai engkau, hai Pasyhur, dan semua orang yang diam di rumahmu, kamu akan diangkut tertawan; engkau akan sampai ke Babel dan akan mati di sana dan akan dikuburkan di sana: engkau ini dengan semua sahabatmu yang kepadanya engkau telah bernubuat palsu."
