27:23 maka imam harus menghitung baginya harga nilainya sampai kepada tahun Yobel dan orang itu haruslah mempersembahkan nilai itu pada hari itu juga sebagai persembahan kudus bagi TUHAN. 27:24 Dalam tahun Yobel ladang itu harus dipulangkan kepada orang yang menjualnya kepadanya, yakni kepada orang yang mula-mula memiliki tanah itu. 27:25 Dan segala nilai harus menurut syikal kudus, syikal itu harus dua puluh gera beratnya. 27:26 Akan tetapi anak sulung, yang sebagai anak sulung menjadi hak TUHAN dari antara hewan, tidak boleh dikuduskan oleh siapapun, baik seekor lembu maupun seekor kambing atau domba, itu milik TUHAN. 27:27 Tetapi jikalau itu dari antara hewan yang haram, maka haruslah orang menebusnya menurut nilainya dengan menambah seperlima dan jikalau tidak ditebus, haruslah dijual menurut nilainya. 27:28 Akan tetapi segala yang sudah dikhususkan oleh seseorang bagi TUHAN dari segala miliknya, baik manusia atau hewan, maupun ladang miliknya, tidak boleh dijual dan tidak boleh ditebus, karena segala yang dikhususkan adalah maha kudus bagi TUHAN. 27:29 Setiap orang yang dikhususkan, yang harus ditumpas di antara manusia, tidak boleh ditebus, pastilah ia dihukum mati. 27:30 Demikian juga segala persembahan persepuluhan dari tanah, baik dari hasil benih di tanah maupun dari buah pohon-pohonan, adalah milik TUHAN; itulah persembahan kudus bagi TUHAN. 27:31 Tetapi jikalau seseorang mau menebus juga sebagian dari persembahan persepuluhannya itu, maka ia harus menambah seperlima. 27:32 Mengenai segala persembahan persepuluhan dari lembu sapi atau kambing domba, maka dari segala yang lewat dari bawah tongkat gembala waktu dihitung, setiap yang kesepuluh harus menjadi persembahan kudus bagi TUHAN. 27:33 Janganlah dipilih-pilih mana yang baik dan mana yang buruk, dan janganlah ditukar; jikalau orang menukarnya juga, maka baik hewan itu maupun tukarnya haruslah kudus dan tidak boleh ditebus." 27:34 Itulah perintah-perintah yang diperintahkan TUHAN kepada Musa di gunung Sinai untuk disampaikan kepada orang Israel.

Bab Ima 17:1-27:34 kitab Imamat ini lazimnya diberi judul: "Hukum Kekudusan". Bagian ini memang berasal dari tradisi Para Imam, tetapi bagian inti tampaknya terbentuk pada akhir zaman para raja dan memuat adat kebiasaan yang ditepati dalam bait Allah di Yerusalem. Dalam "Hukum Kekudusan" itu tampaklah dengan jelas sejumlah besar dengan ajaran nabi Yehezkiel. Ini berarti bahwa ajaran nabi itu tidak lain kecuali suatu perkembangan dari apa yang sudah ada sebelum masa pembuangan Israel ke Babel. Adapun kekudusan ialah sebuah sifat hakiki Allah Israel, bdk Ima 11:44-45; 19:2; 20:7,26; 21:8; 22:23 dst. Arti pertama kata "Kudus" ialah: yang terpisah yang transenden dan tidak terhampiri, sehingga menimbulkan rasa takut keagamaan, Kel 33:20+. Kekudusan Allah itu meliputi juga segala sesuatu yang berhubungan dengan Allah atau diserahkan kepadaNya, yaitu: tempat, Kel 19:12+, masa dan waktu, Kel 16:23; Ima 23:4+, tabut perjanjian, 2Sa 6:7+, manusia, Kel 19:6+, khususnya para imam, Ima 21:6, benda-benda, Kel 30:29; Bil 18:9, dll. Mengingat hubungannya dengan ibadat maka "kudus" berdekatan dengan "tahir". Sejauh itu "Hukum Kekudusan" dapat juga disebut "Hukum Ketahiran". Akan tetapi sifat moril Allahnya Israel merohanikan pandangan primitip itu. "Kudus" tidak hanya berarti: dipisahkan dari apa yang profan (teruntuk bagi keperluan manusia), tetapi terutama: dipisahkan dari dosa: ketahiran lahiriah bergabung dengan kesucian hati manusia, bdk penglihatan nabi Yesaya, Yes 6:3+.
