27:1 TUHAN berfirman kepada Musa: 27:2 "Berbicaralah kepada orang Israel dan katakan kepada mereka: Apabila seorang mengucapkan nazar khusus kepada TUHAN mengenai orang menurut penilaian yang berlaku untuk itu, 27:3 maka tentang nilai bagi orang laki-laki dari yang berumur dua puluh tahun sampai yang berumur enam puluh tahun, nilai itu harus lima puluh syikal perak, ditimbang menurut syikal kudus. 27:4 Tetapi jikalau itu seorang perempuan, maka nilai itu harus tiga puluh syikal. 27:5 Jikalau itu mengenai seorang dari yang berumur lima tahun sampai yang berumur dua puluh tahun, maka bagi laki-laki nilai itu harus dua puluh syikal dan bagi perempuan sepuluh syikal. 27:6 Jikalau itu mengenai seorang dari yang berumur satu bulan sampai yang berumur lima tahun, maka bagi laki-laki nilai itu harus lima syikal perak, dan bagi perempuan tiga syikal perak. 27:7 Jikalau itu mengenai seorang yang berumur enam puluh tahun atau lebih, jikalau itu mengenai laki-laki, maka nilai itu harus lima belas syikal dan bagi perempuan sepuluh syikal. 27:8 Tetapi jikalau orang itu terlalu miskin untuk membayar nilai itu, maka haruslah dihadapkannya orang yang dinazarkannya itu kepada imam, dan imam harus menilainya; sesuai dengan kemampuan orang yang bernazar itu imam harus menentukan nilainya. 27:9 Jikalau itu termasuk hewan yang boleh dipersembahkan sebagai persembahan kepada TUHAN, maka apapun dari pada hewan itu yang dipersembahkan orang itu kepada TUHAN haruslah kudus. 27:10 Janganlah ia menggantinya dan janganlah ia menukarnya, yang baik dengan yang buruk atau yang buruk dengan yang baik. Tetapi jikalau ia menukar juga seekor hewan dengan seekor hewan lain, maka baik hewan itu maupun tukarnya haruslah kudus. 27:11 Jikalau itu barang seekor dari antara hewan haram yang tidak boleh dipersembahkan sebagai persembahan kepada TUHAN, maka hewan itu harus dihadapkannya kepada imam, 27:12 dan imam harus menetapkan nilainya menurut baik atau buruknya, dan seperti penilaian imam demikianlah jadinya. 27:13 Dan jikalau orang itu mau menebusnya juga, ia harus menambahkan seperlima kepada nilai itu. 27:14 Apabila seorang menguduskan rumahnya sebagai persembahan kudus bagi TUHAN, maka imam harus menetapkan nilainya menurut baik atau buruknya, dan seperti nilai yang ditetapkan imam demikianlah harus dipegang teguh. 27:15 Tetapi jikalau orang yang menguduskan itu mau menebus rumahnya, maka ia harus menambah harganya dengan seperlima dari uang nilainya dan rumah itu menjadi kepunyaannya pula. 27:16 Jikalau seseorang menguduskan sebagian dari ladang miliknya bagi TUHAN, maka nilainya haruslah sesuai dengan taburannya, yakni sehomer taburan benih jelai berharga lima puluh syikal perak.

Pasal Im 27:1-34 membahas hal-hal yang dinazarkan atau dijanjikan kepada Tuhan, seperti misalnya orang, binatang, rumah, atau tanah. Semua itu memperoleh nilai apabila pembuat nazar itu ingin mengambil kembali yang dinazarkannya.

Bab Ima 17:1-27:34 kitab Imamat ini lazimnya diberi judul: "Hukum Kekudusan". Bagian ini memang berasal dari tradisi Para Imam, tetapi bagian inti tampaknya terbentuk pada akhir zaman para raja dan memuat adat kebiasaan yang ditepati dalam bait Allah di Yerusalem. Dalam "Hukum Kekudusan" itu tampaklah dengan jelas sejumlah besar dengan ajaran nabi Yehezkiel. Ini berarti bahwa ajaran nabi itu tidak lain kecuali suatu perkembangan dari apa yang sudah ada sebelum masa pembuangan Israel ke Babel. Adapun kekudusan ialah sebuah sifat hakiki Allah Israel, bdk Ima 11:44-45; 19:2; 20:7,26; 21:8; 22:23 dst. Arti pertama kata "Kudus" ialah: yang terpisah yang transenden dan tidak terhampiri, sehingga menimbulkan rasa takut keagamaan, Kel 33:20+. Kekudusan Allah itu meliputi juga segala sesuatu yang berhubungan dengan Allah atau diserahkan kepadaNya, yaitu: tempat, Kel 19:12+, masa dan waktu, Kel 16:23; Ima 23:4+, tabut perjanjian, 2Sa 6:7+, manusia, Kel 19:6+, khususnya para imam, Ima 21:6, benda-benda, Kel 30:29; Bil 18:9, dll. Mengingat hubungannya dengan ibadat maka "kudus" berdekatan dengan "tahir". Sejauh itu "Hukum Kekudusan" dapat juga disebut "Hukum Ketahiran". Akan tetapi sifat moril Allahnya Israel merohanikan pandangan primitip itu. "Kudus" tidak hanya berarti: dipisahkan dari apa yang profan (teruntuk bagi keperluan manusia), tetapi terutama: dipisahkan dari dosa: ketahiran lahiriah bergabung dengan kesucian hati manusia, bdk penglihatan nabi Yesaya, Yes 6:3+.

Bab 27 ini berupa tambahan pada kitab Imamat. Ia berisikan peraturan mengenai penglulusan nazar, Ima 7:16; 22:21; Bil 30:2-16; Ula 12:6-12; 23:21. Peraturan itu dahulu berlaku dalam bait Allah yang dibangun sesudah masa pembuangan. Mungkin sekali aslinya peraturan itu terlepas dan baru kemudian digabungkan dengan kitab hukum yang dikatakan diresmikan di gunung Sinai. Penggabungnya ialah Ima 27:1-2 dan Ima 27:34. Mula-mula sebuah nazar menghasilkan kewajiban berat untuk meluluskannya. Tetapi kemudian kewajiban itu diringankan dan akhirnya dapat diganti dengan bayaran berupa uang, kecuali sehubungan dengan apa yang "diharamkan" (dikhususkan bagi TUHAN), Ima 27:28-29
