Then he will judge ¹  your people fairly, and your oppressed ones ²  equitably.

He judges the world fairly; he makes just legal decisions for the nations. ¹ 

As for me, because I am innocent I will see your face; ¹  when I awake you will reveal yourself to me. ² 

All the words of my mouth are righteous; ¹  there is nothing in them twisted ²  or crooked.

remove the wicked from before the king, ¹  and his throne ²  will be established in righteousness. ³ 

You answer our prayers by performing awesome acts of deliverance, O God, our savior. ¹  All the ends of the earth trust in you, ²  as well as those living across the wide seas. ³ 

before the Lord! For he comes to judge the earth! He judges the world fairly, ¹  and the nations in a just manner.

“I, the Lord, officially commission you; ¹  I take hold of your hand. I protect you ²  and make you a covenant mediator for people, ³  and a light ⁴  to the nations, ⁵ 

I will commit myself to you ¹  forever; I will commit myself to you in ²  righteousness and justice, in steadfast love and tender compassion.

“‘You ¹  must not deal unjustly in judgment: ²  you must neither show partiality to the poor nor honor the rich. ³  You must judge your fellow citizen fairly. ⁴ 

before the Lord, for he comes! For he comes to judge the earth! He judges the world fairly, ¹  and the nations in accordance with his justice. ² 

He will treat the poor fairly, ¹  and make right decisions ²  for the downtrodden of the earth. ³  He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, ⁴  and order the wicked to be executed. ⁵ 

It is me – I stir him up and commission him; ¹  I will make all his ways level. He will rebuild my city; he will send my exiled people home, but not for a price or a bribe,” says the Lord who commands armies.

No one is concerned about justice; ¹  no one sets forth his case truthfully. They depend on false words ²  and tell lies; they conceive of oppression ³  and give birth to sin.
