from going down to the place of corruption,
and my life sees the light!’
Elihu’s Appeal to Job 5

so that you might 11 be honored. 12

Indeed, the Lord is a just God;
all who wait for him in faith will be blessed. 14
Yeremia 3:12-13
The Lord Calls on Israel and Judah to Repent
3:12 “Go and shout this message to my people in the countries in the north. 15 Tell them,
‘Come back to me, wayward Israel,’ says the Lord.
‘I will not continue to look on you with displeasure. 16
For I am merciful,’ says the Lord.
‘I will not be angry with you forever.
3:13 However, you must confess that you have done wrong, 17
and that you have rebelled against the Lord your God.
You must confess 18 that you have given yourself to 19 foreign gods under every green tree,
and have not obeyed my commands,’ says the Lord.
Yeremia 3:22-23
3:22 Come back to me, you wayward people.
I want to cure your waywardness. 20
Say, 21 ‘Here we are. We come to you
because you are the Lord our God.
3:23 We know our noisy worship of false gods
on the hills and mountains did not help us. 22
We know that the Lord our God
is the only one who can deliver Israel. 23

32 and against
33 you.
15:19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; treat me
34 like one of your hired workers.”’

39 and welcomed Jesus
40 joyfully.
41
19:7 And when the people
42 saw it, they all complained,
43 “He has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.”
44
19:8 But Zacchaeus stopped and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, half of my possessions I now give
45 to the poor, and if
46 I have cheated anyone of anything, I am paying back four times as much!”
