(Ibrani kharod, 'gemetar'). Mata air tempat Gideon memilih anggota pasukannya untuk menyerang orang Midian, dengan memperhatikan cara mereka meminum air (Hak 7:1-7); mungkin 'Ain Jalud modern. Daerah di sekeliling mata air Harod sangat sesuai dengan pelaksanaan ujian yg Gideon tentukan; lih G. A Smith, The Historical Geography of the Holy Land, 1931, hlm 397 dst. Mata air Harod juga mungkin menjadi tempat orang Israel berkemah sebelum berperang di Gilboa (1 Sam 29:1). Tradisi mengatakan bahwa di sinilah Daud mengalahkan Goliat.
